Please tell me you watched the Wimbledon final on Sunday?! Such a brilliant match. Only Borg vs. McEnroe was better...

Dear Mark,

Yes, I was lying prone nearly all day watching this historic match. I took langourous naps during rain delays, drifting in and out as the repeat of the Williams's doubles match filled dead air time, and I was totally happy. My true love is Federer, who for me symbolizes the last in a generation of old tennis--I have realized.

This match was a pure amalgam of delightful angst wrought through a large, gentle sieve.

Cheers,
drw
